Why can't I hear anything?
It may well be that your firewall isn't allowing you through or that there
is a problem with the soundcard you have installed.
How do I configure my firewall to allow Loober to work?
Most modern firewalls will simply prompt you that Loober is attempting to
connect to the internet. Select 'allow' or 'yes' and also be sure to
select 'remember this decision' or 'always allow' to avoid being prompted
every time you start Loober. If this is not the case then I recommend you
either consult the manufacturer's manual or contact your supplier. Back to top ^
How can I find the most current sound card drivers?
You must find out the manufacturer of your soundcard and visit their official
website. You will find this by entering their name into whichever search
engine you prefer and it is more than likely they will have the latest drivers
available to download free.Back to top ^
Why isn't my microphone working?
Firstly, make sure it is plugged in to the correct socket of your pc (pink)
and then Click 'Start', 'Control Panel', then 'Sounds and Audio Devices',
then select the 'Voice' tab. You will then see the box on the left. Please
click the 'Test Hardware' button – this process will ensure your system is
set-up correctly and you will now be ready to talk on Loober.Back to top ^
I am being heard, but very quietly, even though my volume is up full.
How can I rectify this?
This may simply be because of a low sensitivity in your microphone in which
case you must go to you audio settings in the control panel. Select the “Voice”
tab and go into the volume controls for voice recording, then switch on advanced
settings through the options tab, go into advanced and turn microphone boost
on. This should increase the sensitivity greatly.Back to top ^
I am told I am producing an echo. Why is this?
If you are using a microphone and speakers instead of a headset then this
will be feedback coming from the speakers and back into the microphone. It
is recommended that you either keep your speaker volume low or plug in headphones
instead.Back to top ^
Can I use Loober with other programs or services?
Loober will happily sit in the background whilst other programs run and
should continue to work as normal. However, if the other program requires
your soundcard there may be interference. Such examples could be a computer
game or watching a video. In this case you must configure your card for multi-source
playback.Back to top ^
